Good Libertarian Essay
Thought this was a fairly good essay on current libertarian thoughts. How the "state" should be the one having to prove its ok take our freedoms, not the libertarian having to constantly complaining about them being taken.
I think government has it's place, as society would have little opportunity to grow past a certain point before it succombs to disintegration. I wonder if the government over stepped it's bounds, or we just left a vaccum as citizens that needed to be filled?
I just know that the only reason people make rules or regulations about anything is because someone was stupid enough to do something stupid.

I do agree that the government has its place. But im a firm believer that they have way overstepped their boundaries, and years of neglecting this has caused what we have now. Now we have to fight for our freedoms and liberty whatever they maybe, instead of them being ours to begin with. Its become the government lets its citizens have whatever freedoms it deems ok, not the other way around.
I totally agree as well about rules and regulations. I think the problem with that is that they can keep coming up with regulations upon regulations but never be able to keep people from being stupid. And during the time, all people (smart and stupid) lose freedoms.
Good to hear from you. We will have to meet up sometime when my family and I get moved over. I'm also trying to find employment in the Phoenix area. Holly my wife has already been transferred over to the area, but my daughter and I are coming over either when we sell our house or I find a job, whichever comes first.

I've got a question for you. How do we go about effecting change? Getting opinions out there is all well and good, but is there anything we can actually... you know... do?
